TREATING WEST LOTHIAN SINCE 2016
GIVING BACK TO WEST LOTHIAN
Nom Noms Community Food
Nom noms community food is our new initiative for 2022 to help support the most vulnerable in the area access good quality, nutritious and tasty food. Its funded purely by Nom Nom profits, and seeks to help people in the local community with the cost of living crisis and food insecurity.
We do this through a mixture of food donations and projects to help people eat well, learn new skills and provide them with some much needed social interaction
HOw we help
We believe learning to cook for yourself, or your family is a skill. We support people to equip them with the necessary skills to get the most from their food, teaching them cooking skills, recipes, and safe food storage techniques.
We work closely with local food banks to understand what items they most need and leverage our buying power with suppliers where possible to help provide food donations. We also keep our own food waste to the ultimate minimum and ensure any usable surplus is made available to those who need it.
We also donate a percentage of NomNom profits direct to the West Lothian Trussel Trust Foodbanks, enabling them to buy the products and resources local families desperately need most.
